Lesson 32: Present Perfect Continuous

Introduction:

Use the present perfect continuous to express an action that has begun in the past ago and is continuing now. The difference between the perfect and the perfect continuous is that it is definitely continuing, whereas in the perfect it could be continuing.

Structure:

subject + have, has + been + verb-ing
subject + have, has + not + been + verb-ing
subject + haven't, hasn't + been + verb-ing
Has have + subject + been + verb-ing
hasn't haven't + subject + been + verb-ing

Examples:

I have been working there.
He has not been working there.
She hasn't been working there.
Have I been working there?
Hasn't he been working there?
